Personal Choice Carers at Home

About Us

Personal Choice Carers at Home are an independent, family run agency who through personal experience saw the need for a return to the old-fashioned principles of care.

Fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and all staff fully trained to relevant standards.

Personal Choice Carers at Home was established in 2012 by Elizabeth Hastings from my own home. I have been caring for my disabled mother who has Multiple Sclerosis for the past 15 years. By living through this illness with my mother, I have experienced all aspects of the disease both emotional as well as physical, that people face on a daily basis. Organising health care appointments, carers, personal and household care and dealing with all the needs involved in caring for a close family member. This has given me the knowledge and empathy to put myself in other people's shoes and the desire to help others in the same situation.

Personal Choice Carers at Home is a service born from family values to support clients faced with advancing age, infirmity or disability to remain in the familiar and much loved surroundings of their own homes, whilst retaining their independence and choice.

The staff at Personal Choice Carers at Home all believe in the same values as myself, I interview and assess them personally to ensure that they have a natural compassion for others, and want to make a real difference to peoples lives. All staff begin their roles with the Skills for Care induction program, which enables them to begin working towards a QCF qualification in Health and Social Care. They also have on-going training to ensure they are fully qualified to meet specific needs.

Our friendly, personal service is tailor-made to suit the individual. We will arrange an initial meeting to discuss with you and your family, your essential needs.
